    Save for later

    Another week, another signature event.

The Genesis Invitational at Riviera followed the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with consecutive signature events early in the PGA Tour season. Tiger Woods and his foundation hosted the limited field of 72 players competing for the $20 million purse.

It was Jacob Bridgeman who took home the $4 million top prize for captuing his first PGA Tour title. Yes, his first, holding off Rory McIlroy all with Woods watching on the 18th green. Bridgeman held a six-shot lead heading into the final round and was cruising for awhile until the others—Adam Scott and Kurt Kitayama—came charging to the top. Ultimately, Bridgeman shot one-over 72, but it was good enough to top Kitayama and McIlroy by just one shot. But that's all it needed to be.

Elsewhere, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler played horribly in the first round, barely made the cut, then vaulted all the way up to end in a tie for 12th place with Jordan Spieth, among others. Scheffler had 18 consecutive top-10 finishes prior to this week, but that streak is now over.

Now the tour heads to Florida for the next month, starting with the Cognizant Classic at PGA National.

Here’s the rundown of what each player earned at Riviera who made the cut.
