    Why We Like It

    • This collection of high-stability mallets pushes saved mass to the extremes thanks to a weight-saving internal lattice structure that’s made from 3-D printed nylon.
    • The intricate grid, which provides stability and controls vibration for better sound, is produced from a material that weighs 85 percent less than if it were similarly constructed from stainless steel.
    • The latticework features an array of undercuts, wall thicknesses, ultra-thin cage-like support beams and angles that would be impossible to achieve through traditional manufacturing processes like casting, forging or machining.
    • The latticework and carbon-composite crown with alignment aid are extremely lightweight. This allows Cobra to feature a metal-injection-molded steel face and sole piece, as well as tungsten heel and toe sole weights.
    • The result of that mass redistribution is a higher moment of inertia (stability on off-center hits) for all models compared to their 2024 versions.
    • The face has four lofts that increase from 1 degree at the bottom to 4 degrees at the top. The intent is to launch the ball at a consistent angle whether your stroke is level, moving slightly down, or moving slightly upward at impact.
    • Models: Agera, Agera RS, Agera RS-30, Supernova, Supernova-30. Head weights: 365, 375, 385 grams. Lengths: 34, 35, 38 inches. Loft: 1-4 degrees

    COMMENT SUMMARY

Hot List panelists observed a heady, counterbalanced design with bold alignment aids (bright lines, elaborate markings and 3D-printed contrast) that make aiming simple and produce quick, consistent roll and tight dispersion—even on mis-hits. Testers praised the soft, shallow-milled face and full-face “sweet spot,” forgiving heel/toe performance, and stable pendulum feel that helps speed control, especially on mid-to-long putts. One notable drawback: a few found the sound and feel inconsistent, which complicated distance trust for some.

    COMMENT SUMMARY

Hot List panelists observed a heavy, mass-forward mallet with dense, substantial contact that produces effortless energy and a notably strong forward roll—testers reported extra revolutions and tight dispersion even on mis-hits. The compact/mid-sized shape, bold center trim and helpful top alignment make setup easy; the descending-loft face and forgiving sweet spot aid heel/toe strikes. 3D-printed “cobweb” detailing and gold/black contrast drew praise. Appearance was divisive.

    COMMENT SUMMARY

Hot List panelists observed a putter with standout alignment aids (bright white and elaborate markings) and counterbalanced stability that produced excellent dispersion and dependable distance control, especially on mid-range putts. The shallow-milled face and copper finish gave a soft, full-face "sweet spot" feel and precise energy transfer, making it easy to square and roll true; a descending-loft insert kept mis-hits online. A few found the multi-color, multi-texture top busy and mildly distracting.

    COMMENT SUMMARY

Hot List testers noted striking alignment aids that make setup and centering easy. Most praised its consistent roll, strong distance control, and counterbalanced/hefty feel that promotes a natural pendulum stroke and reliable long-putt performance. It's forgiving on mis-hits and encourages center strikes. One downside: the bold, shoe-like aesthetics and heavy alignment can be visually distracting.
